The Glassy-winged Sharpshooter
trapping program begins in April of 2004 and lasts through
October. Traps are set both in rural and urban settings
to detect any presence of the pest in the county. If you
find a sharpshooter or its egg masses please contact our
office at 675-7876. Sharpshooters are under ½ inch
long and range from dark brown to black with yellowish
spots on its head and nearly transparent wings.
