Chapter 2.15 PUBLIC ADMINISTRATOR-PUBLIC GUARDIAN*

2.15.010 Office created.

2.15.020 Offices of public administrator and public guardian consolidated.

2.15.030 Appointment--Removal.

2.15.010 Office created.

The office of the public guardian for the county is hereby created and established with the functions prescribed by law. (Ord. 247-B § 2(part), 1991).

2.15.020 Offices of public administrator and public guardian consolidated.

A. Under the authority of Government Code Section 24011, the duties of the office of the county public administrator and the county public guardian are hereby united and consolidated. Said united and consolidated office shall be designated and known as the “public administrator-public guardian.”
B. The office of the public administrator-public guardian shall have as its executive head, one appointed officer, the public administrator-public guardian.
C. The duties, rights and obligations of the respective separate offices shall be continued and combined for the public good as provided by law. (Ord. 247-B § 2(part), 1991).

2.15.030 Appointment--Removal.

The board may by resolution appoint a person as the public administrator-public guardian to serve at the pleasure of the board, who may be removed from said office by resolution of the board. The board may appoint the same person to the offices of public administrator-public guardian and veteran’s service officer pursuant to Government Code Section 24011. (Ord. 247-B § 2(part), 1991).
