2.35.030 Duties.
2.35.010 Department and office created.
There is continued in existence a department of public health for the
county, to be headed by the public health administrator, which office is hereby
created. (Ord. 548 § 1(part), 1992).
2.35.020 Office appointment and salary.
The public health administrator shall be appointed by the board of
supervisors and shall serve pursuant to county ordinances and rules. The salary
for such office shall be such as is provided therefore in each salary
resolution. (Ord. 548 § 1(part), 1992).
2.35.030 Duties.
The duties of the public health administrator shall be:
A. To plan,
organize, direct and evaluate a comprehensive health program for the county
which includes establishing policies and procedures relating to public health
department operations;
B. To implement public health programs with direction
from the board of supervisors and the county administrative officer;
C. To
formulate and justify budgetary requirements for the public health
department;
D. To direct and evaluate management personnel in the planning
and directing of departmental activities;
E. To supervise preparation and
submittal of applications as appropriate to secure grant funding for various
health service projects and routine operations and to ensure that funds are
allocated and expended as stipulated by the grants;
F. To perform such
additional or related duties, or both, as may be established by the board of
supervisors from time to time. (Ord. 548 § 1(part), 1992).
