2.84.010 Established.

Madera county establishes the old granite Court House with clock tower on Yosemite Avenue in the city of Madera as a museum. The board of supervisors, in the operation and maintenance of the museum, shall have the power to promote the objects and purposes of a museum devoted to the acquisition, exhibition, and utilization of scientific, artistic, historical, or similar material. (Ord. 329 § 1, 1968).

2.84.020 Operation and maintenance.

The board of supervisors shall, in the operation and maintenance of the museum, have all of the powers, rights and duties specified in Sections 5120 through 5132 of the California Public Resources Code. (Ord. 329 § 2, 1968).

2.84.030 Historical society--Museum property custody.

The board of supervisors hereby places in the custody and control of the Madera County Historical Society, or its trustees or other directors, any records, landmarks, or other property, real or personal, in connection with the museum, but not the grounds surrounding the museum. (Ord. 329 § 3(part), 1968).

2.84.040 Historical society--Trustees and directors.

The trustees and directors of the Madera County Historical Society shall at all times be appointed by the Madera County Historical Society, with the consent and approval of the board of supervisors and shall not receive compensation from the county. (Ord. 329 § 3(part), 1968).

2.84.050 Operation rules, regulations and conditions.

The board of supervisors may, by resolution, prescribe rules, regulations and conditions for the operation of the museum by the Madera County Historical Society. (Ord. 329 § 3(part), 1968)
