13.51.010 Source.

13.51.010 Source.
Water supplied by any water system shall be:
A. Obtained from a source
free from pollution, or obtained from a source adequately purified by natural
agencies, or adequately protected by artificial treatment;
B. From a source
reasonably adequate to provide a continuous supply of water;
C. Of such
quality as to meet the United States Public Health Service Drinking Water
Standards. (Ord. 383 § 370, 1974).
13.51.020 Well log.
The subdivider, water purveyor or contractor shall furnish two copies of
an accurate well log showing the depth in feet of each stratum in the order
encountered in drilling. One copy shall be furnished the county engineer and
another copy furnished the health officer. (Ord. 383 § 371,
1974).
13.51.030 Specific yield and production of well.
The well shall be developed until a constant flow of clear water is
obtained and the specific yield and production of the well determined by testing
according to Section A1-7 of AWWA Standard for Deep Wells, AWWA A100-66, a copy
of which is on file with the clerk of the board. A copy of the development data
must be furnished to the county engineer and to the health officer. (Ord. 383
§ 372, 1974).
13.51.040 Pumps.
Pumps installed in a community water system shall comply with the
standards set forth in AWWA E101-61. Automatic controls shall be installed for
the operation of the pump in relation to the required quantity of water to be
stored. (Ord. 383 § 373, 1974).
13.51.050 Sample tap.
A faucet for sampling should be provided on the discharge line as near the
pump as possible for the purpose of collecting samples for analysis (Ord. 383
§ 374, 1974).
13.51.060 Chlorination.
A chlorinator shall be installed at the source of water supply if required
by the county health officer. The design and installation of the chlorinator
shall be approved by the county engineer and county health officer. (Ord. 383
§ 375, 1974).
