13.63.010 Inadequacy of existing systems.

When a sewage system serving a property to which the public is admitted, either by license or by use, fails or is determined to be inadequate to prevent the deposit or seepage of wastes upon the ground surface, the person, or persons, firm, corporation or political subdivision controlling said property shall, upon written order from the director, close the business or operation until such time as the provisions of this article are complied with and the corrective action has received clearance from the director. (Ord. 279 § 50, 1963).

13.63.020 Order for modification.

The director may order changes in the method, means, manner and place for the disposal, treatment or discharge of sewage in order that the same shall not constitute a menace to the health of human beings, or animals. The director shall designate the period within which such changes are to be made. (Ord. 279 § 51, 1963).

13.63.030 Completion notification.

Upon the completion of a sewage disposal system by an applicant to whom a permit has been issued, he shall forthwith notify the department of such fact by transmitting to the department a notice of completion prior to covering or using said sewage disposal system. (Ord. 279 § 52, 1963).

13.63.040 Inspection and approval.

The department shall make such investigation and inspection after completion as may be necessary to determine that the plans and specifications approved in the permit and rules and regulations of this article have been complied with. No sewage disposal system shall be covered, sealed or put in use until a certificate of completion shall have been issued by the director. Said certificate of completion shall be in the form prescribed by the director. (Ord. 279 § 53, 1963).
