Chapter 13.75 COMMUNITY SEWER SYSTEMS--DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS
13.75.010 Sewer main.

Vitrified clay, concrete (plain and reinforced), asbestos-cement, and cast
iron are acceptable materials. Sewer main and fittings shall conform to
currently dated standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials
(ASTM), American Standards Association (ASA), American Waterworks Association
(AWWA), or Federal Specifications (SS or WW). (Ord. 279 § 140,
1963).
13.75.020 Sewer main location.
The depth and location of sewer mains shall be approved by the county
engineer and road commissioner. The minimum cover shall be thirty inches below
finished grade and the maximum cover shall be eight feet below finished grade.
The normal location of the sewer main shall be the centerline of the roadway or
easement. (Ord. 279 § 141, 1963).
13.75.030 Manholes.
All manholes shall be constructed of brick, cast-in-place concrete, or
precast concrete sections. Manholes shall have a minimum diameter of thirty-six
inches at the base. Covers shall be metallic, twenty-two inches minimum
diameter, set in metal frames, and marked with the word “sewer,”
(Ord. 279 § 142, 1963).
