Chapter 13.78 COMMUNITY SEWER SYSTEMS--SEWAGE TREATMENT WORKS

13.78.010 Plant location.
The locations of sewage treatment works shall be subject to the approval
of the director of public health and the county planning commission. (Ord. 279
§ 150, 1963).
13.78.020 Quality of effluent.
The degree of treatment and quality of effluent shall be based upon the
requirements of the health department. (Ord. 279 § 151, 1963).
13.78.030 Basis for design loading.
The design of sewage treatment works on the basis of organic loading is
required. A biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) loading of 0.25 pounds per capita
per day is required. The works shall also be reviewed on the basis of volumetric
loading using the flow requirement of Section 13.12.070. (Ord. 279 § 152,
1963).
13.78.040 Treatment processes.
A detailed description of each process and design data shall be submitted
for approval by the director of public health and the county engineer. (Ord.
279 § 153, 1963).
