17.36.010 Block--Size.
Where land is first subdivided into small farms or acre tracts, blocks
shall be of such size and shape and be so divided as to provide for the opening
of necessary streets at locations as will permit the ultimate extension and
opening of future streets at such intervals as will allow subsequent division of
any such farm or acre parcels into blocks and lots of size for normal
residential, commercial and industrial uses. (Ord. 278 § 700,
1963).
17.36.020 Block--Length.
Blocks less than six hundred feet in length or more than twelve hundred
feet in length may be disapproved, except where topographical conditions,
surrounding layout, or other circumstances require shorter or longer blocks, or
acre or farm subdivision justify a variation. Long blocks shall be provided
when contiguous to major streets for the purpose of reducing the number of
intersections. (Ord. 278 § 701, 1963).
17.36.030 Block--Width.
The width of each block shall be sufficient for an ultimate layout of two
tiers of lots therein of a size required by the provisions of this article
unless the surrounding conditions, ownership lines or topographical conditions
justify or make necessary a variation from this requirement. (Ord. 278 §
702, 1963).
17.36.040 Lots--Suitability for purpose.
Proposed use shall determine adequacy and suitability of lot dimensions,
location, and grades. (Ord. 278 § 703, 1963).
17.36.050 Lots--Side lines.
The side lines of all lots, as near as possible, shall be at right angles
to the street on which the lot faces, or radial or approximately radial if the
street on which the lot faces is curved. (Ord. 278 § 704, 1963).
17.36.060 Lot widths and depths.
The size and shape of lots shall be in conformity to any zoning
regulation, land use regulation, or ordinance effective in this area. Lots
shall be not less than sixty feet in width nor less than eighty feet in depth,
provided that corner lots shall be not less than sixty-five feet in width.
(Ord. 278-L § 1, 1992: Ord. 278 § 705, 1963).
17.36.070 Lot--Minimum area.
The minimum area of lots shall be six thousand square feet. (Ord. 278
§ 706, 1963).
17.36.080 Lot--Political subdivision lines.
No lot shall be divided by a county, city, school, or other taxing or
assessment district or area boundary line. (Ord. 278 § 707,
1963).
17.36.090 Lot--Double frontage.
Lots having double frontage will not be approved except where necessitated
by topographic or other unusual conditions. (Ord. 278 § 708,
1963).
