17.40.010 Definitions.

“Hillside subdivision” means any subdivision of land where the prospective density will not exceed two dwelling units per gross acre and where the natural slope generally exceeds ten percent. Certain proposed subdivisions with areas of generally less than ten percent slope may have special hillside problems. The subdivision committee may classify all or portions of such subdivisions as “hillside subdivisions.” For purposes of this definition, “gross area” is the total area of the parcel to be subdivided or that portion thereof which includes the prospective lots and their attendant street rights-of-way and easements. (Ord. 278 § 750, 1963).

17.40.020 Applicable design and improvement standards.

The design and improvement requirements of Chapters 17.28 through this chapter may be modified for hillside subdivisions by adoption of a resolution by the planning commission and by the board of supervisors which sets forth standards for the design and improvement of each such subdivision. (Ord. 278 § 751, 1963).
