Chapter 2.30 - DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES

There is hereby created a social services department in the county, which shall be known as the "Madera County Department of Social Services."

2.30.020 - Personnel.

The department of social services shall consist of the following:

A. One director who shall be known as the "social services director" of Madera County. The director shall be appointed by the board of supervisors, in accordance with the provisions of Section 2.60.090 of this code, and shall serve at the board's pleasure. The salary of the social services director shall be fixed by the board of supervisors in accordance with Section 2.60.165 of this code;

B. Such other employees as may be required by law.
