There is hereby established the information technology department.

2.97.020 - Office of information technology department director.
The department head of information technology department is the director of information technology. The director of information technology shall be appointed by, and serve at the pleasure of, the board of supervisors, and take administrative direction from the county administrative officer. The director of information technology shall direct and be responsible for the proper administration of the information technology department, subject to the direction of the board of supervisors and in compliance with state law and local rules.

2.97.030 - Information technology department duties and responsibilities.
The information technology department, through its director or his/her designee, shall discharge the following duties and responsibilities:

2.97.040 - Assistance by other county officers and employees.
To assist in carrying out the responsibilities and duties herein vested in the information technology department, the director may call upon any county officer or employee to perform any act related to information technologies which such officer or employee is legally authorized to perform including the furnishing of any statistical data or other reports required.
