The ordinance codified in this chapter is adopted pursuant
to Section 2611 of the California Labor Code, Sections 17951
and 17952 of the California Health and Safety Code, and
Sections 50022.1 through 50022.4 of the California Government

14.26.020 Scope.
The provisions of this chapter
shall apply to all employee and labor camp housing provided
for less than five employees. Labor camp housing provided
for five or more employees is regulated under California
Labor Code Section 2610 et seq. and 8 California Adminis
trative Code Section 162177 et seq. (Ord. 408 Sl(part),

14.26.030 Enforcement.
Permits for construction, alteration, conversion or removal
of buildings, and building inspections shall be under the
procedure set forth in the Uniform Building Code as adopted
in Chapter 14.08 of this title. (Ord. 408 §1(part),

forth in California LaB orCode Section 2614 et seq. and

except the definition of "labor camp" shall apply

Adoption of State Employee Housing Regulations as found
in 8 California Administrative Code Sections 16219.5 through
16234.5 with the exception of Section 16220.9. (Ord. 408

14.26.060 Filed code copies.
A copy of the regulations adopted under Section 14.26.050
shall be kept on file in the office of the board clerk for
the use and convenience of the public during regular office

14.26.070 Variations.
Upon written request, the
Madera County board of may grant reasonable
variations to the regulations governing the design, erec
tion, and construction of buildings covered by this
chapter. All requests for such variations shall include
justification for the variations to assure protection of
the health and safety of the occupants and the public.

motor vehicle used as semipermanent housing, designed for
