  • Job Specifications
    Job specifications contain general information for positions in the classified service including essential duties, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience and training guidelines, and license or certificate requirements. Specific information for a job opening is not included in the job specification.

 

  • Position Allocation (PDF format)
    The Position Allocation Resolution contains information specific to each county department. Information provided includes the titles and numbers of authorized positions approved by the Board of Supervisors for each department, the number of FTE positions allocated, and job code numbers.

 

  • Salary Resolution (PDF format)
    Each classification is assigned a salary range with the exception of elected positions. Ranges consist of five salary steps (A-E) with approximately five percent between each step. New employees generally begin at the first step of the assigned range; however, under certain circumstances employees may begin at a higher step. Typically, employees are eligible for merit-based step increases annually.
