  Job specifications contain general information for positions in the classified service including essential duties, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience and training guidelines, and license or certificate requirements. • Salary Resolution (PDF format)
  Each classification is assigned a salary range with the exception of elected positions. Ranges consist of five salary steps (A-E) with approximately five percent between each step. New employees generally begin at the first step of the assigned range; however, under certain circumstances employees may begin at a higher step. Typically, employees are eligible for merit-based step increases annually.
