Universal Precautions Education (Hepatitis, HIV)

The purpose of universal precautions education is to inform at-risk workers of basic safety precautions that should be practices whenever they may be exposed to blood or other body fluids. This information is very important as it is often impossible to tell if the clients that we care for has Hepatitis B (HBV), Hepatitis C (HCV) or Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). For more information on universal precautions education presentations or training materials, contact the Public Health Department.
