Sworn Positions
Newly Sworn Deputies are paired with Field Training Officers for 14-17 weeks during which time they are evaluated for their efficiency and effectiveness in responding to and handling Service Calls, Field work, Report Writing and follow-up when and if required. Once Field Training is completed new Deputies must still pass probationary period whereby their performance both on and off duty will be routinely critiqued and evaluated. Probation lasts 1 year from date of hire. Current Sworn Personnel from other agencies may apply for a lateral transfer to our agency.
